What should I expect during medical weight loss visits?

During the first medical weight loss visit with the Rise Aesthetics team, your specialist performs a body composition analysis with the IN-Body system and checks your blood pressure, pulse, and other vital signs. 

They complete a physical examination and order blood tests to check for hormone imbalance, high cholesterol, and other disease risk factors before personalizing a medical weight loss plan that’s right for you.

How much weight can I lose?

Rise Aesthetics specialists help you reach your ideal weight. That could be your healthiest past adult weight, the weight you feel most comfortable at, or a weight that puts you in a healthy body mass index (BMI) category based on your height. 

You can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week, or up to five pounds weekly in some cases, with the medical weight loss experts at Rise Aesthetics.

Prescription Medications:

At Rise Aesthetics Medical Spa, we offer several FDA-approved weight loss medications to help our patients reach their weight loss goals. These medications, when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise plan, can be an effective tool in the journey towards weight loss and improved overall health.

Phentermine is a stimulant that works by decreasing appetite and increasing energy levels. It is most effective when used as a short-term treatment for obesity, typically for a few weeks at a time. Some potential benefits of phentermine include increased weight loss, improved blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and reduced risk of obesity-related health problems such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Metformin is a medication commonly used to treat type 2 diabetes, but it has also been shown to be effective for weight loss in non-diabetic individuals. It works by reducing the amount of sugar produced by the liver and increasing the sensitivity of cells to insulin, which helps to lower blood sugar levels. Some potential benefits of metformin for weight loss include decreased appetite, increased fat oxidation, and improved insulin sensitivity.

Semaglutide (the generic name for Ozempic and Wegovy) is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists. It works by increasing the production of hormones that help to regulate appetite and metabolism, leading to weight loss. Some potential benefits of semaglutide for weight loss include increased fat loss, reduced appetite, and improved blood sugar control.  We have partnered with a preferred pharmacy to provide this medication at a highly reduced cost. It is available as an additional cost within our weight loss program.  Alternatively, it can be prescribed outside our weight loss program on a monthly basis anywhere within Massachusetts, even if you are not driving distance to the medical spa.
